The Ordinance states, in Section 7.1, subpart 4.G,that, "No signs, except for official traffic signs, shall be placed on or overhand public property, except where specific permission is granted by the Planning Commission. " The sign depicted in the enclosed picture has been placed on Minnesota Department of Transportation right-of-way, As opposed to formally citing you for a violation of the Ordinance, we would like the opportunity to work with you to correct the situation. We are requesting that by no later than July 10,2007,you permanently remove this portable sign. Failure to comply with the Ordinance by July 10, 2007, will prompt us to take more aggressive action. This would likely include administrative fines for each day the' violation continues, civil action to obtain a court order directing you to comply with the Ordinance and could potentially include criminal action. You will be responsible to reimburse the City for any expenses incurred in remedying this violation. This would include any consultant fees or other professional services that City Staff determines is necessary,including but not limited to the City Planner at$69.00 per hour,the City Engineer at$88.00 to$140.00 per hour or the City Attorney at $135.00 per hour.
