the application,or it can table the permit request to gather additional information or provide the <br /> applicant time to modify the proposal. <br /> Staff Recommendation: Based on the findings presented herein, the Staff recommends that <br /> the conditional use permit application be approved. The Staff further recommends that the <br /> following conditions be placed on approval of the permit: <br /> 1. To prevent unwanted visitors and for safety, the exterior storage area shall be fenced in <br /> with a fence not exceeding 84 inches in height. This fence shall be installed prior to any <br /> wood being stored in the area. <br /> 2. The proposed trees to provide screening along the western property line shall be planted <br /> within one year of the date of permit approval. <br /> 3. The proposed alternate alignment will run adjacent to this property. To provide <br /> screening of the area as viewed from the proposed alternate alignment, the property <br /> owner shall install screening, consisting of trees and fencing or other similar materials, <br /> which would provide l00% screening of the property as viewed-from the highway,within <br /> six(6)months of the road completion. <br /> L <br /> City of Pequot Lakes Staff Report 1_4 <br /> August 16,200'7 <br />
