City of <br /> PEQVOT <br /> LAKES MEMO <br /> TO: Planning Commission <br /> FROM: Dawn Bittner, Zoning Administrator <br /> DATE: January 12, 2007 <br /> RE: Park Dedication for Final Plat of Nordenstua on Sibley <br /> Attached you will find the Memo to the Park Board regarding the Park <br /> Dedication for Nordenstua on Sibley. <br /> The Park Board met Thursday, January 11 for their regular monthly meeting. <br /> They concluded that a trail system within the City would be beneficial for <br /> the City. However, they had the following concerns with this portion of a <br /> trail system: <br /> 1. Cost and feasibility of maintaining the trail; <br /> 2. Snowmobile traffic; <br /> 3. Cost to acquire property to connect to existing trails; <br /> 4. Cost of survey to establish trail location <br /> 5. Who would construct the trail; <br /> 6. This trail section currently landlocked. <br /> After much discussion, the following recommendation was made: <br /> A motion was made by Del Anderson, seconded by Faye Tweed, to <br /> recommend a Park Dedication Fee in the amount of$55,900.00.
