the City Council will not have any objections to accepting the proposed alignment as
well as limiting development in areas that could potentially be impacted by the alternate
alignment. We anticipate there will be some discussion on your proposal for no cost-
sharing for land lost for the spray irrigation system and also that there would be some
strong local objections to an outright donation of City-developed Industrial Park land,
particularly considering the costs incurred by the City and the Statewide significance of
the TH 371 project.
In total, your draft memorandum is a good place to start discussions, and we are very
appreciative that you have let your concerns be known. We've established a sub-
committee to work with you on this memorandum and will be contacting you to set up a
time to meet.
Again, thank you for the letter and your participation in our process. We value your
input and perspective and look forward to continuing to work with you.
Sincerely,
CITY OF PEQUOT LAKES
14084 Baxter Drive, Suite 7 1 Baxter, Minnesota 56425 1218.828.3064 1www.communitygrowth.com
