Police City of Pequot City Hall
218-568-8111 Lakes 218-568-5222
Fax 218-568-5647 Fax 218-568-5860
plpd @pequotlakes-mn.gov = - 4638 County Road 11 cityhall @pequotlakes-mn.gov
Fequot Lakes,MN 56472
www.pequotlakes-mn.gov
August 15, 2008
Zachary Zoul
23611 Woodward Avenue
Nisswa, MN 56468
Dear Mr. Zoul:
The City Engineer has located some of the original survey markers along the public right-
of-way platted as Fourth Street. This initial survey indicates that the dock or boardwalk
you constructed is 6 inches inside Fourth Street. Any structure in the Forest Management
zone would be required to maintain a 25-foot side yard setback.
The City received your after-the-fact permit application July 3, 2008 for the
dock/boardwalk, as well as your correspondence dated July 5, 2008. If you wish to
proceed with this after-the-fact application, the City would insist that it be with the
understanding that the dock/boardwalk be placed entirely within your property,
acknowledging the 25-foot side yard setback.
I have enclosed the site plan you submitted with your Land Use Permit Application.
Please indicate on that site plan the 25-foot setback and return to me to continue
processing this permit. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
Sincerely,
Dawn Bittner
Zoning Administrator
Enc.
