His application was denied <br /> as it did not meet the criteria for such signs. <br /> The City of Pequot Lakes supports Mr. VanValkenburg and his desire for identification <br /> signs. The intersection mentioned above is very dangerous with traffic moving through <br /> the intersection as well as turning traffic in all four directions. Alerting traffic unfamiliar <br /> with this area that may be looking for the Crafters Market in advance of the intersection <br /> could potentially prevent accidents. <br /> The Lakes Area Crafters Market is not a strip mall. It is a large, indoor facility for <br /> seasonal or year round vendors that could potentially bring hundreds of consumers to this <br /> area each weekend.
