COMMUNITYGROWTH Gly of I N S T I T U T E Pequut 7(a)Shoreland Conservation Design As part of the ongoing discussion regarding changes to the shoreland development provisions, Commission members requested some specific changes to the draft. The entire draft is not included here, just the addition to Section 5.15 and the changes to Section 17-8.2(changes underlined). The following changes would be made to Section 5.15, Land Use Matrix: Shoreline Conservation Subdivision would be listed as an Allowable Use in the SR and SC and as an excluded use in all other zones. Conventional Subdivision would be listed as a Conditional Use in the SR Planned Unit Development, Commercial and Planned Unit Development, Residential would be removed from the matrix. Section 17-8.2 SHORELINE CONSERVATION SUBDIVISION 3. Design criteria for all new Conservation Subdivisions and PUD's. H. Shore Recreation Facilities. (1) Shore recreation facilities, including but not limited to swimming areas, docks and watercraft mooring areas and launching ramps, must be centralized and located in areas suitable for them. Evaluation of suitability must include consideration of land slope, water depth, vegetation, soils, depth to groundwater and bedrock,or other relevant factors. (2) The number of spaces provided for continuous beaching, mooring or docking of watercraft shall not exceed one for each first-tier unit that would be allowed as calculated in part 6A of this section. The number may be reduced based on the suitability of the site. (3) Facilities for mooring of individual watercraft, including boat lifts and canopies, shall be earth-tone in color and shall be positioned so as to minimize their visibility from the lake.
