The sign you refer to along State Highway 371 will be addressed as a separate issue. When I spoke to you on the telephone last week,you asked if it would be possible to be allowed the one larger sign due to the fact the property for sale was actually three parcels. I informed you that I could not make that decision and that you should put your request in writing and I would take it to the Planning Commission. At no time during this conversation was a variance ever mentioned. To conform to the City's Ordinance, you will need to remove the existing 32 sq. ft. sign and replace it with 3 individual 9 sq. ft. signs. If the property owner wishes to apply for a variance,the existing 32 sq. ft. sign would need to be removed pending the outcome of the variance request. I am enclosing a Variance application. The fee for the Variance is $450.00,plus a$46.00 recording fee. I will need to receive the completed application, along with the fee and all supporting documents by April 16 for this matter to be included on the May Planning Commission Agenda.
