City of MEMO <br /> Pequott <br /> Lakes — <br /> TO: Planning Commission <br /> FROM: Dawn Bittner, Zoning Administrator <br /> DATE: August 12, 2008 <br /> RE: Minnesota Rules Chapter 7080 <br /> There have been major changes to Chapter 7080 which regulates <br /> sewage treatment systems. These changes became effective <br /> February 4, 2008. Crow Wing County will need to amend their <br /> `- Ordinance within 2 years of these changes. Municipalities will <br /> then have 1 year to amend their Ordinances. <br /> The County and I decided to invite all of the municipalities and <br /> LUG's within the County to a brainstorming session to discuss the j <br /> process and participation in developing a new County Ordinance. <br /> At this meeting participants decided to develop a document that <br /> would be adopted by the County and ultimately by each <br /> municipality. <br /> This group has been meeting monthly and has been very well <br /> attended by the County, municipalities and representatives of <br /> LUG's. Our plan is to submit our document to the MPCA in April, <br /> 2009 for review. The MPCA has up to 6 months to complete their <br /> review.
