Police City of Pequot City Hall
218-568-8111 Lakes 218-568-5222
Fax 218-568-5647 _ Fax 218-568-5860
plpd @pequotlakes-mn.gov — - 4638 County Road 11 cityhall @pequotlak-568-5860
Fequot Lakes,MN 56472
www.pequotlakes-mn.gov
July 14, 2008
Stanley and Joan Finkelson
24913 Lewiston Blvd.
Hampton, MN 55031
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Finkelson:
In a recent review of your property file,I noticed that the City has not received any of the
pumping records for your holding tank that was installed in 2004. Pursuant to Minnesota
Rules Chapter 7080 a monitoring and disposal contract signed by the owner and a
licensed pumper must be on file with the City. In addition, holding tanks shall have an
alarm'device to minimize the chance of accidental sewage overflows unless regularly
scheduled pumping is used.
Please provide the City with copies of all available pumping records for any pumping of
this holding tank prior to this notification. Please notify your pumper to provide copies
of any and all future pumping records to the City. In addition, please notify the City, in
writing, of the alarm device you use to identify when the holding tank is at 75 percent
capacity.
Further, at the time Sibley Township approved your Variance, they also included a
condition that you have the holding tank pressure tested once every 5 years and a report
given to the township (City of Pequot Lakes). Please be sure to have this holding tank
pressure tested in 2009 and a copy of the results forwarded to the City.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
Sincerely,
Dawn Bittner
Zoning Administrator
CC: Planning Commission
