JERRY ATWATER
.
..........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................
4491 County Road 16
Pequot Lakes,MN 56472
Phone:(218)568-4128
template @tds.net RECEIVED
JUL 3 0 2008
July 29,2008 /
Dawn Bittner
Zoning Administrator
4638 County Road 11
Pequot Lakes,MN 56472
Dear Dawn Bittner,
Thank you for the nice photo of the 1950 Nash sitting out in my field. Sorry you had to
come onto the property to get a clear picture.
Your two page letter starts as a"potential Ordinance Violation"then goes on to say ; I
am likely in violation of the following city's ordinances-4 listed-and then on page two-
guilty-guilty-guilty. You tell me to remove the vehicle from the field and dispose of it
properly.
I know many people think of the old Nash"Bathtubs"as ugly, but to say it has a"Strong
negative visual impact or offends the morals or violates the standards of the city"makes
me wonder what I was harboring here.
Your last paragraph of your letter really got my attention. I took a 45 minute ride inside
the old Pequot lakes city limits and took pictures of 15 possible abandoned vehicles;you
know weeds growing up around them, and I thought maybe you are starting with the
oldest vehicle, mine, and working from there. I did not get out of my car to see any of
these vehicles. There may be a couple more in old Sibley Township.
Sincerely,
JeriAtwater
On Edge/Pequot Lakes
