You have not paid the application fee of$125, plus after-the-fact charges of$500. Payment of these fees before August 5 is essential in order for us to process your application. At this point, we are informing you that the proposal you have submitted does not meet the requirements of the City of Pequot Lakes Land Use Code. Your property is zoned Shoreline Residential and you have performed a Forest Land Conversion,which is defined as: Forest Land Conversion. The clear cutting of forested lands to prepare for a new land use other than the re-establishment of a subsequent forest stand. A Forest Land Conversion is a prohibited use in the Shoreline Residential zoning district. We are not capable of approving this application in its current form. We are asking you to appear in front of the Planning Commission at their August 21, 2oo8 regular meeting to discuss this matter. The City is going to need to have a better understanding of what your intentions are for this property and how the site is to be restored. In the interim, we are requiring that you aggressively follow through on the recommendations of the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency and the Crow Wing SWCD for stabilizing and securing the site.
