MINUTES
PEQUOT LAKES PLANNING COMMISSION
REGULAR MEETING
OCTOBER 19,2006
PRESENT: Bill Habein, Tom Adams, Mark Hallan, Roger Varilek, and Scott Pederson.
ABSENT: Tom Woog, John Derksen and Dean Williams.
CITY PLANNER: Lisa Barajas.
ZONING ADMINISTRATOR: Dawn Bittner.
CITY COUNCIL LIAISON: Jim Oraskovich.
The meeting was called to order by Vice-Chair Tom Adams at 6:33 p.m.
Applicant: Housing and Redevelopment Authority
Applicant requests Final Plat of Buschmann Addition.
Ms. Barajas explained the Staff Report. Sharon Thurlow, Director of the Housing and
Redevelopment Authority was in attendance and had nothing to add to the Staff Report.
Staff advised that the Park Board recommended waiving the Park Dedication Fee because
the HRA was not creating any new lots, was a non-profit entity and had enhanced that
neighborhood with the removal of the old structure.
A motion was made by Bill Habein, seconded by Roger Varilek, to recommend the City
Council approve the Final Plat of Buschmann Addition, based on the following Findings
of Fact:
1. The applicant has complied with the two conditions placed on the preliminary plat
approval as both structures have been removed.
2. The applicant has submitted Title Insurance showing conformance with those
parties on the plat.
3. The Final Plat agrees with the Preliminary Plat. The design has not changed since
preliminary plat approval.
4. The City Attorney has reviewed the plat and agrees that all parties with an interest
in the property are shown as signers of the document.
5. The proposed plat does not include any new improvements as this is a re-platting
of lots within an existing subdivision. All roads and other improvements are
already in place.
6. The applicant has submitted a plat check completed by an independent
Professional Land Surveyor.
Planning Commission Minutes 1
October 19, 2006
