MINUTES <br /> PEQUOT LAKES PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> REGULARMEETING <br /> AUGUST 21,2008 <br /> PRESENT: Bill Habein, Dean Williams, Tom Adams, Tom Woog, Mark Hallan, Mary <br /> Peterson and John Derksen. ABSENT: Scott Pederson. <br /> CITY PLANNER: Charles Marohn, PE. <br /> ZONING ADMINISTRATOR: Dawn Bittner. <br /> The meeting was called to order by Chairman Woog at 6:33 p.m. <br /> Mr. Woog opened the public hearings. <br /> APPLICANT: Wilderness Resort Villas,LLC <br /> Applicant requests Final Plat of CIC 1079 <br /> Mr. Marohn explained the Staff Report. The requests for street vacations have been filed. <br /> It likely will be approved by the City Council at their September 2 meeting. The <br /> outstanding items are the title work and road vacations. Before the City Attorney can <br /> approve the final documents,the road vacations will need to be completed. Staff <br /> recommends approval of the Final Plat with the 2 conditions. <br /> Chad Conner, WSN,represented applicant. <br /> I <br /> i <br /> PUBLIC COMMENT: <br /> Paul Reichenbach, 27188 Sarah Lane: He stated that this spring he was fishing and <br /> noticed large piles of brush in the SIZ, 10 tree stumps, 5 small, 5 medium. He questioned <br /> restoration and maintenance of the SIZ. He also requested restoration of the trees. <br /> Mr. Marohn stated there is an outstanding violation on the property with the clearing and <br /> i <br /> construction of the beach. An agreement to restore the beach area is in place but remains <br /> outstanding. Applicant is aware that what has been done is inadequate. We continue to <br /> work on this. Even though there is the outstanding violation for the beach, we have <br /> moved forward with the Final Plat. l <br /> Mr. Reichenbach stated that beyond the beach area where the houses were built and the <br /> trees removed, why don't we have any outstanding violation for that area. <br /> Tom Adams stated that approximately 2 months ago he had met with the City Planner, <br /> City Staff,Jeff Miller and Tom Steffens to discuss restoration of the beach area.
