COMMUNITYGRoWTH <br /> 1 N S T I T U T E City of <br /> F__p rtc in Snudl Touw Planni urg Pequot <br /> NEW BUSINESS—COMPREHENSIVE PLAN REVIEW L�kI <br /> Agenda Item:7(c) <br /> Background Information and Discussion: We are kicking off our 2009 <br /> Comprehensive Plan update with a discussion at the Planning Commission on areas to <br /> focus on. <br /> We have our general outline, which provides us an opportunity to hit on each section of <br /> the plan. The feedback we are looking for from the Commission is very specific. Going <br /> section by section,we would like to address the following questions: <br /> i. What content is missing from the plan? <br /> 2. What areas do we need to devote time and resources towards? <br /> g. What topics do we need to discuss more thoroughly? <br /> 4. What information do you need that you do not currently have at your disposal? <br /> Our plan has functioned very well as a guiding document. That is how it is supposed to <br /> work. Our good work in the past five years gives us an opportunity today to provide <br /> more depth and guidance through the planning process in this update. In other words, <br /> take"good"and make it"great". <br /> This is going to be critically important, especially given the economic challenges the City <br /> (along with the state/country/world) is facing.
