Zoning Administrator's Report A. January Permits: The following permits were issued over the last month by the Zoning Department: There were no permits issued in January. *** Permit applications through January, 2009 are 0, compared with 4 for 2008, 6 for 2007, 3 for 2006, 9 for 2005 and 7 for 2004! B. Correspondence: Your Staff sent the following correspondence since the last meeting: 1. East Twin Lake Shoreland Grand Newsletter. 2. Mayson's Grille regarding signs. 3. Wilderness Resort Villas, Final Plat approval. 4. Thomas and Janice Link, Variance reconsideration request. 5. Thomas Cowell, County Land Commissioner, regarding tax forfeit lots. 6. Melissa Barrick, SWCD, local water management plan. C. Potential Violations/Enforcement Actions: The City Staff is currently working on the following potential violations/enforcement actions. We will report on each of these each month until they are resolved to the satisfaction of the Planning Commission. 1. James and Barbara Whitty— (6/04) 2. Thomas Tulenchik—Mr. Tulenchik has been advised of the unresolved violations on his parcel. (5105) 3. Virgil Dahl—Staff and the Police Chief will continue to meet with Mr. Dahl until his exterior storage issues are resolved. (10/06) 4. Stacey and Karin Simons—Mr. and Mrs. Simons are moving forward with their plan to construct the fences. (7/07) 5. Robert Swenson—Exterior storage and abandoned vehicles. The truck, converted bus and RV remain parked along the alley. No response from Mr. Swenson. (8/07) 6. Patrick Greer—The tenant at his property has refuse, debris and exterior storage. Mr. Greer has been contacted about remaining debris. (12/07) 7. Elaine Yablonsky, Boardwalk Scoops—Constructed a fence and placed a freezer unit in City ROW without a permit.
