The rezoning to Rural Residential is consistent with Future Land Use
Map, which designates the property as Rural Residential.
2. Rezoning to Rural Residential is keeping with the purpose and intent of
the Ordinance as it will be allowing a non-shoreland property to be
zoned consistent with its current use and the Future Land Use Map.
3. The surrounding properties are zoned Shoreline Residential and
Commercial. Rural Residential and Shoreline Residential are
compatible with each other. The Commercial Zone may not be in an
area that is completely surrounded by Residential however the zoning
to the north and south of the Commercial property is still Commercial.
4. The Rural Residential Zone may be established next to the
Commercial Zone or the Shoreline Residential Zone.
5. The rezoning to Rural Residential (with the proposed lot split) meets
the lot, use, and density requirements.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
Sincerely,
Dawn Bittner
`-- Zoning Administrator
CC: Planning Commission
