The City Code state in Section 17-7.1 SIGNS Offsite Signs that "Offsite signs are prohibited..." I have taken the enclosed photographs. If these pictures accurately depict your signage,I would have to find that you are in violation of this provision of the Code. As opposed to formally citing you for a violation of the Code, we would like the opportunity to work with you to correct the situation. We are requesting that by no later than June 9 you permanently remove the portable signs and refrain from placing other signs within MN/DOT,County or City right-of-way. Failure to comply with the Code by June 9, 2009 will prompt us to take more aggressive action. This would likely include Administrative Fines in the amount of$100.00 per day for each day the violation continues,civil action to obtain a court order directing you to comply with the Code and could potentially include criminal action. You will be responsible to reimburse the City for any expenses incurred in remedying this violation. This would include any consultant fees or other professional services that City Staff determines is necessary,including but not limited to the City Planner at $92.00 per hour,the City Engineer at$93.00 to$148.00 per hour or the City Attorney at$145.00 per hour.
