Clark 30892 South Heath Street Pequot Lakes,MN 56472 RE: City of Pequot Lakes Potential Ordinance Violation PIN: 291000010140009 and 291000010150009 Dear Mr. Clark: It has come to our attention through a complaint that you are likely in violation of the City Code regarding Maintenance and Visual Standards. The City Code states in Section 17-7.4 MAINTENANCE that "All structures shall be properly maintained in a clean and acceptable manner so as not to constitute a menace to the public health, safety, convenience, general welfare,property values, and aesthetics AM landscaping shall be properly maintained so as to preserve planting in a live state and free of noxious weeds." The City Code further states in Section 17-7.6 VISUAL STANDARDS that "No use shall create, maintain or continue any activity or structure which has a strong negative visual impact or offends the morals or violates the standards of the City." I have been to your property and taken the enclosed pictures. If these pictures accurately depict the condition of your property,I would have to find that you are in violation of these two provisions of the City Code. As opposed to formally citing you for a violation of the City Code,we would like the opportunity to work with you to correct the situation. We are requesting that by no later than June 25,2009 you mow your grass and maintain a neat yard for the remainder of the season. Failure to comply with the City Code by June 25,2009 will prompt us to take more aggressive action. This would likely include Administrative Fines in the amount of
