I have been to your property and taken the enclosed photograph of the vehicles parked
along the alley. If this picture accurately depicts the condition of your property, I would
have to find that you are in violation of these provisions of the City Code.
As opposed to formally citing you for a violation of the City Code, we would like the
opportunity to work with you to correct tine situation. We are requesting that by no
later than September 5, 2009 you remove or properly store the abandoned vehicles.
We are further requesting that by no later than August 15,2009 you remove or
properly store all agarbage, refuse and debris from your property.
We are further requesting that by no later than August 25,2009 you properly store
or remove all miscellaneous items currently stored outside.
We are further requesting that by no later than August 25, 2009 you permanently
remove all cats or kittens in excess of three (3).
Failure to properly store or remove the items as outlined above will prompt us to take
more aggressive action. This would likely include Administrative Fines in the amount of
$100.00 for each day the violation continues, civil action to obtain it court order directing
you to comply with the Ordinance and could potentially include criminal action. You
will also be responsible to reimburse the City for any expenses incurred in remedying this _
violation. This would include any consultant fees or other professional services that City
Staff determines is necessary, including but not limited to the City Planner at $92.00 per
hour, the City Engineer at$93.00 to $148.00 per hour or the City Attorney at $145.00 per
hour.
Having outside storage, abandoned vehicles and excess cats is not only an eyesore to the
rest of the community, it is a health and safety issue that we take very seriously. Please
understand our seriousness and commitment to uphold the City Code. We hope you will
take this opportunity to work with its and resolve this matter.
Sincerely,
Dawn Bittner
Zoning Administrator
Enc.
C: Planning Commission
Jerry Brawn, Chief of Police
