Date July 31,2009
To Pecluot Lakes Planning and Zoning
From Christopher Stevens
Subject Wilderness Villas Complaint
For the last several years Wilderness Villas on Middle Cullen Lake has been building houses on the cast
shoreline of Wilderness point. Prior to this activity this was a beautifully wooded shoreline. When die
building activity began much of the vegetation and trees were removed from the ice ridge and the shore
impact zone. As new construction is added and with the closeness of the structures, this is increasingly
becoming an eyesore.
If a pen-nit was issued for the vegetation and tree removal in the shore impact zone,it should be restricted
going forward. If a permit wasn't issued, there should be restoration of the area in the shore impact zone to
some semblance of its former state.
Also, several of these builduigs have less than 50%natural vegetative screening as seen from the lake.
Given the density and closeness of all this construction, this only adds to the problem.
I am looking forward to your response to my concerns. If it would be of any help,I'm sure I could get a
number of Middle Cullen Residents to testify as to the extent of clearing that has taken place in this shore
impact zone.
Respectfully,
J n
Christopher Stevens
Tel: 612-250-4153
ec .4
c l:ullFi1
