The City Code states in Section 17-7.4 MAINTENANCE that "All structures shall be properly maintained in a clean and acceptable manner so as not to constitute a menace to the public health, safety, convenience, general ivelfcn•e, property values, and aesthetics. All landscaping shall be properly maintained so as to preserve planting in a live state and free or noxious weeds. " The City Code further states in Section 17-7.6 VISUAL STANDARDS that "No use shall create, maintain or continue any activity or sh*ucture which has a strong negative visual impact or offends the morals or violates the standards of the City. " I have been to your property and taken the enclosed pictures. If these pictures accurately depict the condition of your property, I would have to find you are in violation of these standards. You were issued a Land Use Permit November 14, 2001 for the construction of the original structure and office space. It appears that the exterior of the office portion has never been completed. In addition, the roof appears it may be in need of repair. As opposed to formally citing you for a violation of the City Code, we would like the opportunity to work with you to correct the situation. We are requesting that by no later than August 20,2009 you send the City, in writing,your tinteframe for the completion of the exterior of the building and for the repair to the roof.
