Olson <br /> 33 NW 32nd Street <br /> Buffalo, MN 55313 <br /> Re: City of Pequot Lakes <br /> Potential City Code Violation <br /> PIN: 290263102L00009 <br /> 4765 Olson Road <br /> Dear Mr. and Mrs. Olson: <br /> It has come to our attention through several complaints that you may be in violation of <br /> `.. the City Code regarding Shoreline Alteration. <br /> The City Code states in Section 17-11.8 LAND USE PERMITS that "No person shall <br /> assemble, install, repair, remodel, remove or construct any structure prior to applying <br /> for and receiving a Land Use Permit. " <br /> The City Code further states in Section 17-7.9 VEGETATION REMOVAL that "No <br /> vegetation shall be removed along the shoreline, within shore impact zones, on steep <br /> slopes, and within bluff impact zones, except in conjunction with an approved site <br /> preparation or land alteration permit to accommodate the placement of stairways, <br /> landings, access paths, or authorized shoreland alterations. " <br /> The City Code also states in Section 17-7.13 GRADING that "The following activities <br /> must be authorized by permit ... (A) Grading and filling in the shore or bluff impact <br /> zone; (D.)Any alterations of the natural topography when the slope of the land is toward <br /> a public water or watercourse involving the movement of more than 10 cubic yards of <br /> material in a bluff or shore impact zone... " <br /> I have been to your property and taken the enclosed photographs.
