COMMUNITY GIV 01f <br /> 0HOWTH Pequot <br /> INSTITUTE les <br /> STAFF REPORT <br /> Application: Conditional Use Application to increase Impervious Surface Coverage <br /> Applicant: Mid Minnesota Federal Credit Union <br /> Agenda Item:5(c) <br /> Background Information: The applicants are requesting approval of a conditional <br /> use permit to increase the amount of impervious surface coverage allowed in the <br /> Commercial Zoning District. Twenty-five percent of impervious surface coverage is <br /> normally allowed while the applicants are requesting coverage of up to 38%. The <br /> increased impervious surface area will be used for additional parking spaces and a new <br /> drive thru area for the proposed remodeling project for the Credit Union. The increased <br /> runoff caused by the excess impervious coverage will be diverted to newly constructed <br /> rain gardens. The applicants have indicated that there will not be any holding ponds <br /> created. <br /> 290134100800009 Y <br /> 290134100A 00009 <br /> The Credit Union is anticipating higher traffic levels than the former use. With the <br /> construction of SuperValu, MnDOT is now requiring the existing approach off of <br /> Highway 371 be removed.
