Board of Adjustment Direction: The Board of Adjustment can approve, deny, or <br /> ..., table this variance. <br /> Staff Recommendation: We suspect, based on the conversation at the last meeting, <br /> the Board would like to find a compromise whereby the variance could be approved. This <br /> becomes easier with the improvements located outside of the lake setback. The new <br /> porch on the north side of the home could be moved further to the southwest so that it <br /> was outside of the setback. If this were done, the new construction would actually be <br /> decreasing the level of non-conformity as it would have less of an encroachment than the <br /> existing structure. <br /> Should the Board of Adjustment decide to approve the request, we would recommend <br /> doing so with consideration of the following conditions: <br /> 1. The applicant shall ensure that erosion control practices are in place prior to any <br /> construction through the use of silt fencing or other erosion control measures. <br /> 2. A stormwater management plan shall be implemented after construction.
