➢ Thomas and Janice Link—Constructed garage in side yard setback. A Variance
-- Reconsideration request must be received by February 1, 2010. (6/08)
➢ Farmers Insurance Co.—Temporary sign and motor vehicle on street. The
structure for the new sign is up. (5/09)
➢ Kristine Sivanich—Exterior storage and abandoned vehicles. The collector truck
is to remain. Staff will contact her regarding white vehicle. Most of the exterior
storage has been removed. This will move forward to Administrative Fines.
(5/09)
➢ Jan Lee—Exterior storage and abandoned vehicles. This remains an eyesore and
will move to Administrative Fines. (5/09)
➢ Kline Funeral Home—Sign does not meet ordinance requirements. Letter has
been sent. (6/09)
➢ Daniel and Donna Gottsch—Erosion on to Olson Road. (7/09)
Notes:
➢ The Police Chief and I visited the Kristine Sivanich and Jan Lee properties
January 13. The outcome of those visits is as follows:
a. Kristine Sivanich—We spoke with her adult son. The Chief emphasized the
importance of her keeping in contact with Staff and that once we turn it over
to him for enforcement, things get ugly quickly. The son will encourage her
to remove the abandoned vehicles soon. The items stored outside may need to
wait until the snow melts; Staff will try to get them removed soon also.
b. Jan Lee—The three abandoned vehicles all have current registration. There
are 2 refrigerators stored to the rear of the garage which probably would not
fit in the garage. There is a small snowmobile trailer with items to be hauled
away. I believe in early spring we will be able to have the refrigerators
removed and the items on the trailer.
➢ Virgil Dahl—Late last fall Mr. Dahl stated he would like to move 2 used mobile
homes to his property, placing them side by side to meet the 20-foot width
requirement. Because his lot is non-conforming, he was told he should wait until
the ordinance was amended in order avoid going through the Variance process.
The mobile homes needed to be moved from their previous location and he had
them moved to his property. He has agreed to go through whatever process is
necessary and Staff will assist Mr. Dahl with the process and removal of
additional exterior storage.
January, 2010 Staff Report Page 2
