If the motion is for approval or denial, findings of fact should be
cited.
Staff Recommendation: The approval of a Sign Concept Plan is at the discretion of
the Planning Commission. The property is in the Commercial Zone and is adjacent to a
busy highway. Along with the two-sided free standing sign, the proposed sign would
allow drivers south-bound on Highway 371 to identify the business and make a right
hand turn before they pass the entrance. We believe the request for the additional
signage is reasonable and should be approved without any conditions.
Pequot Lakes Staff Report 4(c)-5
December 15,2011
