ORDINANCE NO._, SECOND SERIES <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 17 OF THE CITY CODE <br /> REGARDING COMPOSITION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> CITY OF PEQUOT LAKES <br /> COUNTY OF CROW WING <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> The City Council of the City of Pequot Lakes does ordain as follows: <br /> Purpose and Intent: The purpose of this ordinance amendment is to amend Chapter 17 <br /> of the Pequot Lakes City Code relating to the Organization of the Planning Commission. <br /> Amendment: Chapter 17, Article 11.3 shall be amended as follows: <br /> 11.3 PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> 1. Organization of the Planning Commission. <br /> A. The Planning Commission shall consist of no less than `) <br /> fire 11 members appointed by the City Council. A Council <br /> member shall be a non-voting additional member and shall act as a <br /> `.. liaison to the City Council. Each member other than the council <br /> liaison shall hold office for 3 years and terms shall be staggered. <br /> The Mayor shall appoint the council liaison on an annual basis <br /> with the City Council concurrence. Vacancies shall be filled for <br /> the remainder of the term by the City Council. <br /> Effective Date: This ordinance amendment shall be in full force and effect from and <br /> after passage and publication according to state law. <br /> Repeal: This ordinance shall repeal all ordinances inconsistent herewith. <br /> Nancy Adams, Mayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> Sandra Peine, City Clerk <br />
