i
COMMUNITY
e4u,
I N STITUt
STAFF REPORT
Application: Consideration of Comprehensive Plan
Application: City of Pequot Lakes
Agenda Item: 4(c)
Background Information: A final draft of the updated Comprehensive Plan has been
prepared based on the feedback and edits collected over the past few months. A copy of
the Plan was included with last month's packet, which Planning Commission Members
were asked to brine to the May Meeting.
For this month,we have added a final section with an implementation table. This section
is redundant to the plan — it is information that appears elsewhere —but it will assist us
in focusing our efforts in the coming months to years.
Planning Commission Direction: The Planning Commission can recommend that
the City Council adopt the Comprehensive Plan. The Planning Commission can also
choose to not recommend adoption of the Plan or the discussion can be tabled.
Staff Recommendation: After a lot of time and effort invested by the Citizens,
Planning Commission, and City Council we recommend that the Comprehensive Plan
officially be adopted.
Pequot Lakes Staff Report 4(c)-1
May 19,2011
