City of Pequot Lakes- — June 14, 2011 Scott Norris 403 E 4" Street North Melrose, MN 56352 Re: City of Pequot Lakes Potential Ordinance Violation PIN: 29103000913DO09 31175 North Washington Avenue Dear Sir: It has come to our attention through a complaint that you are likely in violation of the City Code relating to Maintenance and Visual Standards. The City Code states in Section 17-7.4 MAINTENANCE that "All structures shall be properly maintained in a clean and acceptable manner so as not to constitute a menace to the public health, safety, convenience, general welfare,property values and aesthetics. All landscaping shall be properly maintained so as to preserve planting in a live state and free of noxious weeds. " The City Code further states in Section 17-7.6 VISUAL STANDARDS that "No use shall create, maintain or continue any activity or structure which has a strong negative visual impact or offends the morals or violates the standards of the City. " I have been to your property and taken the enclosed picture. If this picture accurately depicts the condition of your property,I would have to find that you are in violation of these two provisions of the City code. As opposed to formally citing you for a violation of the City Code,we would like the opportunity to work with you to correct the situation.
