Applicable Regulations: The following regulations apply to this property: <br /> Section 17-5.9 URBAN RESIDENTIAL (UR) <br /> 3. Lot and Use Requirements(Q. <br /> Setback sign—feet minimum i <br /> Section 17-7.1 regulates the use of all signs. <br /> 5. Onsite Signs. <br /> D. Residential Districts including Rural Residential, Transition <br /> Residential, Shoreline Residential, and Urban Residential. <br /> (1) Area Identification Signs are permitted by Conditional use <br /> Permit in the residential districts listed above and must <br /> meet the following criteria: <br /> (a) The size of the sign shall not exceed 32 square feet <br /> in area. <br /> (b) The sign shall not exceed eight (8) feet in height, as <br /> measured from the existing ground elevation to the <br /> top of the sign. Any landscaping, grading, structure, <br /> or other material that raises the level of the existing <br /> elevation of the ground shall be included in the <br /> height of the sign. <br /> (c) Any such sign shall be erected only on a corner lot <br /> at the intersection of local or collector streets with <br /> collector or arterial roadways and only on property <br /> that is a part of the residential development <br /> identified herein. <br /> (d) The sign shall be located on private property at the <br /> required setbacks for the zoning district, as detailed <br /> in this Chapter. Placement of the sign shall include <br /> consideration for the maintenance of appropriate <br /> sight lines at the intersection and shall not constitute <br /> an obstruction to traffic in the area. <br /> (e) The sign shall include a landscaping plan to be <br /> installed and continually maintained by the owner <br /> of the property on which the sign is located, <br /> `— pursuant to the requirements of this Section. <br /> Pequot Lakes Staff Report 4(a)-2 <br /> July 21,2011 <br />
