CITY OF PEQUOT LAKES
Water/Wastewater Report
Apri12012
Water Dept.
I. Onerations and Maintenance:
• The MN Department of Health Monthly Fluoridation Report was completed and
submitted.
• Completed weekly testing.
 Completed monthly Water plant maintenance
• Flushed all Fire Hydrants.
• Read the water meters
• Completed all Water service requests.
• Completed all Locate Requests.
• According to Minn. Dept. of Health well testing, well three has much cleaner raw water.
We are considering running well three as the main well and using well 4 as a backup.
This will save on chemical costs, and extend the life of the water filter and equipment.
• The school is going to hook up the Cities 12" main in Olsen Street. It will be a dead end
hydrant the school will own and maintain. We intend to keep that gate valve in the off
position, unless told otherwise. If that 8" line to the hydrant fails the tower and the
town will be empty of water within a few minuets.
