ORDINANCE NO. 14-04, SECOND SERIES <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 9 <br /> LICENSE AND BUSINESS REGULATIONS <br /> RELATING TO REGULATING THE KEEPING OF DOGS <br /> CITY OF PEQUOT LAKES <br /> COUNTY OF CROW WING <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> The City Council of the City of Pequot Lakes does ordain as follows: <br /> Purpose and Intent: The purpose of this ordinance amendment is to amend Chapter 9 of the <br /> Pequot Lakes City Code relating to the keeping of dogs. <br /> Amendment: Chapter 9, Article 2 shall be amended as follows: <br /> ARTICLE 2. LICENSING AND REGULATING THE KEEPING OF DOGS <br /> Section 9-2.1. DEFINITIONS <br /> Section 9-2.1. DEFINITIONS <br /> 1. Owner. Any person, firm, corporation, organization, or department owning, <br /> keeping, harboring or acting as custodian of a dog or dogs. <br /> 2. At Large. The dog is off the property of the person, firm, corporation, <br /> organization, or department owning, keeping, or harboring said animal, and the dog is not <br /> under restraint. <br /> 3. Dog. All dogs over six (6)months of age. <br /> 4 Under Restraint. The dog is on the premises of the person, firm, corporation, <br /> organization, or department owning, keeping, or harboring the animal, if it is at heel <br /> beside a person having custody of it, if it is obedient to that person's command, if it is <br /> within a private motor vehicle of a person, owning, keeping or harboring the animal, or if <br /> it is controlled by a leash not exceeding six (6) feet in length. <br /> 5. That person appointed by the City Council to enforce <br /> this Chapter, and shall include any person serving as "Deputy Animal Control Officer." <br />
