ORDINANCE NO. 13-02, SECOND SERIES <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 15,ARTICLE 1 OF THE CITY CODE <br /> RELATING TO SEWER REGULATIONS <br /> CITY OF PEQUOT LAKES <br /> COUNTY OF CROW WING <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> The City Council of the City of Pequot Lakes does ordain as follows: <br /> Purpose and Intent. The purpose and intent of this ordinance amendment is to amend <br /> Chapter 15 of the Pequot Lakes City Code relating to Sewer Regulations within the City <br /> of Pequot Lakes. <br /> Amendment. Chapter 15, Article 1, shall be amended as follows: <br /> CHAPTER 15—UTILITIES <br /> ARTICLE 1. SEWER USE REGULATIONS <br /> Section 15-1.1. PURPOSE <br /> The purpose of this section of the City Code is to regulate the use of public and private <br /> `.. sewers and drains, private wastewater disposal, the installation and connection of <br /> building sewers, and the discharge of waters and wastes into the public sewer system(s); <br /> and providing penalties for violations thereof. <br /> Section 15-1.2. DEFINITIONS <br /> Unless the context specifically indicates otherwise, the meaning of terms used in this <br /> Chapter shall have the meanings hereinafter designated: <br /> 1. Act. The Federal Water Pollution Control Act also referred to as the <br /> Clean Water Act, as amended, 33. U.S.C. 1251, et seq., <br /> 2. ASTM. American Society for Testing Materials. <br /> 3. Authority. The City of Pequot Lakes, Minnesota or its representative <br /> thereof. <br /> 4. BODS or Biochemical Oxygen Demand. The quantity of oxygen utilized <br /> in the biochemical oxidation of organic matter under standard laboratory <br /> procedure in five (5) days at 20 degrees Centigrade in terms of milligrams per <br /> liter(mg/1). <br /> 5. Building Drain. That part of the lowest horizontal piping of a drainage <br /> system which receives the discharge from waste and other drainage pipes inside <br />
