ORDINANCE NO. 12-04, SECOND SERIES <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 17 OF THE CITY CODE <br /> REGARDING DIGITAL SIGNS <br /> CITY OF PEQUOT LAKES <br /> COUNTY OF CROW WING <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> The City Council of the City of Pequot Lakes does ordain as follows: <br /> Purpose and Intent: The purpose of this ordinance amendment is to amend Chapter 17 <br /> of the Pequot Lakes City Code relating to digital displays. <br /> Amendment: Chapter 17, Article 4.4 shall be amended as follows: <br /> Section 17-7.1 SIGNS <br /> 4. General. <br /> C. All flashing,revolving and intermittently lighted signs, including <br /> all digital displays, and all portable signs are prohibited, except as <br /> specifically allowed in this section. <br /> 5. Onsite Signs. <br /> A. Commercial and Industrial Districts. <br /> (8) Static LED displays used for advertising the price of gasoline <br /> shall be permitted. <br /> i. A total of five (5) digits per face may be displayed digitally. <br /> ii. The height of an LED digit may not exceed sixteen(16) <br /> inches. <br /> iii. The sign shall not exceed a brightness level of 0.3 foot <br /> candles above ambient light as measured 100 feet from the <br /> sign. <br /> Effective Date: This ordinance amendment shall be in full force and effect from and <br /> after passage and publication according to state law. <br /> Repeal: This ordinance shall repeal all ordinances inconsistent herewith. <br /> Nancy Adams,Mayor <br /> ATTE T: <br /> Sandra Peine, City Clerk <br />
