CITY OF PEQUOT LAKES <br /> CROW WING COUNTY,MINNESOTA <br /> ORDINANCE 10-07, SECOND SERIES <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 17 OF THE CITY CODE <br /> RELATING TO LARGE RESORT OVERLAY ZONE <br /> The City Council of the City of Pequot Lakes does ordain as follows: <br /> Purpose and Intent: The purpose of this ordinance amendment is to amend Chapter 17 of the <br /> Pequot Lakes City Code relating to Land Use and Subdivision Regulations. <br /> Amendment: Chapter 17,Article 7-6.6 shall be amended to add the following language: <br /> 17-6.6 Large Resort Overlay Zone <br /> 1. General The provisions of this section will apply to existing commercial resorts that are <br /> located in a Shoreline Commercial zone,were in existence prior to January 1 2010, <br /> are part of an established Planned Unit Development and contain at least 20 <br /> dwelling units. <br /> 2. The provisions for calculating allowable density in a Planned Unit Development,found <br /> in Section 17-8.2,subpart O(A) shall not be applicable Instead, density shall be <br /> calculated as follows: <br /> a. Density is determined through the following steps• <br /> i. Select the appropriate ratio to determine the land surface area that a� n be <br /> covered by structures from the following table: <br /> Public waters classes <br /> General development lakes-first tier(Nearshore Area) 9.125 <br /> general development lakes-second tier(Lakeview Area) o o7-5 <br /> Recreational development lakes-first tier Nearshore Area) o.075 <br /> Recreational development lakes-second tier(Lakeview Area) 0.075 <br /> GD and RD-third tier(Forestview Area)o o75 <br /> Natural environment lakes-all tiers o 0g8 <br /> All river classes 0.038 <br /> b. Multiply the area within each tier,excluding all wetlands,bluffs and land below <br /> the ordinary high water level of public waters,by the ratio to yield the total land <br /> surface area that can be covered by structures in each tier. <br /> c. Allowable densities maybe transferred from any tier to any other tier further <br /> from the shoreline of the lake or river,but must not be transferred to and <br /> tier closer to the shoreline. <br />
