ORDINANCE NO. 10-02, SECOND SERIES <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 17 OF THE CITY CODE <br /> RELATING TO PARKING REQUIREMENTS <br /> CITY OF PEQUOT LAKES <br /> COUNTY OF CROW WING <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> The City Council of the City of Pequot Lakes does ordain as follows: <br /> Purpose and Intent: The purpose and intent of this ordinance amendment is to amend <br /> Chapter 17 of the Pequot Lakes City Code relating to Parking within the City of Pequot <br /> Lakes. <br /> Amendment: Chapter 17,Article 7.10 shall be amended as follows: <br /> Section 17-7.10 PARKING <br /> 1. General. Onsite parking or garage space shall be provided in all Districts, <br /> except as specifically exempted. There shall be adequate drive access to prevent <br /> the need to back onto collector streets or County Highways. Onsite parking spaces <br /> shall not be used for storage. <br /> 2. Dimensions. Parking sites shall be a minimum of 20 feet long and 10 feet <br /> wide. <br /> 3. Parking Ratios. Adequate parking shall be required, with the following <br /> standards to be guidelines subject to site specific review by the Planning <br /> Commission: <br /> A. Residential/Lodging. One (1) space per dwelling or unit in the <br /> Commercial and Downtown Mixed Use Zone. <br /> B. Office/Retail. One (1) space per 250 square feet of floor area in <br /> the Commercial Zone and One (1) space per 400 square feet of <br /> floor area for Structures greater than 3,000 square feet in the <br /> Downtown Mixed Use zone. <br /> C. Event Orientated/Civic. One space per seven (7) students + one <br /> (1) per two (2) employees or one (1) per three (3) seats in the <br /> Commercial and Downtown Mixed Use Zone. <br /> Effective Date: This ordinance amendment shall be in full force and effect from and <br /> after passage and publication according to state law. <br />
