<br />PROCLAIMING JULY 14TH AS FAYE TWEED DAY
<br />WHEREAS, Faye Tweed has served the City of Pequot Lakes in many capacities throughout
<br />the years; and
<br />WFIEREAS, the City of Pequot Lakes recognizes the need for volunteers and people such as
<br />Faye Tweed who help make the community a better place to live;
<br />WHEREAS, Fay Tweed has promoted and supported the Community in many ways including
<br />the following as listed:
<br />• Participated at the Teen Center which was located in the basement of the
<br />Cole Memorial Building
<br />• Served as the City Clerk for the City of Pequot Lakes
<br />• Served on the Park Commission from 2005 — 2011
<br />• Served as the Chair of the Park Commission
<br />• Member of the Pequot Lakes' Women's Club
<br />• Owned a business in the City called Phase II
<br />• Redecorated the kitchen in the Cole Memorial Building
<br />• Assisted in maintaining the flowers along the Paul Bunyan Trail
<br />• Planted and maintained the flowers at Bobber Park
<br />• Painted the old Gazebo in Trailside Park
<br />• Laid out the plans and assisted in the development of lighting the center of
<br />town during many Christmas seasons
<br />� Assisted in the design of the Paul Bunyan Boot Prints in Trailside Park
<br />• Assisted in painting the interior of the Cole Memorial building
<br />• Assisted in the design of the following City Parks: Gildner Park, Bobber
<br />Park, Traiiside Park, Trailside North Park
<br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that Nancy Adams, Mayor of Pequot Lakes,
<br />acknowledges Faye Tweed as an outstanding citizen in the community, and hereby proclaims July
<br />14�' as Faye Tweed Day.
