Mayo e Park . Mayor Adatated that she has met with representatives of the property. Sh` noted that there are restrictions on the property requiring that the property is owned by one owner. The Mayor also noted that a large portion of the property is located in Cass County. After checking with the City Attorney, it has been found that the City can own land outside of its jurisdiction. The Park Commission discussed the merit of acquiring the land. The Park Commission consented that the property could be used as a rustic park for hiking, snowshoeing and cross country skiing. COMMISSIONER BRUCH MOVED TO RECOMMEND THAT THE CITY ACCEPT THE LAND FOR USE AS A RUSTIC PARK. COMMISSIONER DOUGHTY SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0.
