Council M kerson was concerned that no off-site signage is allowed. The <br /> participants were co med with signage in residential zones. <br /> The following were points of discussion: <br /> • A 3 square foot sign is too small in residential areas. A larger size is important to <br /> draw people in; small ones are hard to see on a roadway over 45 mph. <br /> • Safety concerns with small signs. <br /> • Encourage perpendicular rather than parallel placement. <br /> • No off-site signage makes it difficult to find businesses off main roadways; need <br /> to attract transient traffic. <br /> MINUTES 1 <br /> Pequot Lakes Planning Commission <br /> April 19, 2012 <br />
