April 41h, 2012 Jerry: Below are Tom Ryan's comments taken from the recording word for word. In speaking for Mr. Ryan at the February council meeting you told me we at P&Z had not answered his questions from the December meeting. You also said we had changed his words on the questions. After reviewing the recording and the memorandum dated January 261' I am in disagreement with your comments. Your accusations were simply not true. I have attached the memorandum for your review. It's my understanding the information you presented came from Tom Ryan which has proved to be inaccurate. As our statements at council meetings are public record, it would be prudent to correct them at a future council meeting. At the end of Tom Ryan's comments I highlighted what I feel the real issue to be. He was and still is vehemently against the bypass. He's adamant for development along the bypass even though the council has passed a resolution limiting development. It's very evident he is not able to accept either decision. The fact remains his vision for Pequot Lakes, right or wrong, has failed to be accepted. By his own words he has failed to convince the citizens of Pequot Lakes,the council, and P&Z,to go along with his vision. But he continues to insist on pushing his own agenda even if it means giving misinformation to you and others. It's still my hope we can all work together to build the best future for our town. The comp plan is just a piece of the plan for our future which has some very good things in it, such as simplify the permit process and reduce long term street costs.
