The purpose of this Subdivision is to protect, <br /> f � insure, maintain and regain the natural and scenic beauty and <br /> ii attractiveness of the roadside throughout the City. <br /> 1 b.. Signs are recognized as accessory uses and are permitted in <br /> all Districts subject to the regulations of this Chapter. <br /> C. No sign shall be allowed that is a hazard to the public <br /> i health, safety, convenience, welfare, or that prevents ingress or <br /> egress from any door, window or fire escape; that tends to <br /> accumulate debris as a fire hazard, or that is attached to a <br /> . ; standpipe or fire escape. <br /> i � <br /> d Signs shall not resemble,imitate, or approximate the shape, <br /> size, form or color of railroad or traffic signs, signals or <br /> devices. Private signs are prohibited within the public right-of-way <br /> _ <br /> or any street or easement. <br /> f. All signs on State and Federal highways right-of-way shall <br /> conform to State and Federal sign regulations. <br /> g. P.jrm�l:.ted Sim ms. The following signs will be permitted in <br /> all Districts subject to the specific standards indicated: <br /> 1 . Business identification signs located on the premises, <br /> not exceeding 40 square feet in area. <br /> 2. Temporary real estate signs advertising the sale, <br /> rental, or lease of premises not exceeding 16 square feet in <br /> area. <br /> : 1 <br /> 3. Memorial signs, tablets, and names of buildings and date <br /> of erection, provided said signs are cut into masonry <br /> ; i surface or affixed on a metal plate flat against a <br /> j structure. <br /> _ = 4 . Official signs such as traffic control ,/parking <br /> restrictions, information and notices. <br /> S.
