MDH staff in the <br /> MDH State Well Code Well Management Program offer technical <br /> (Minnesota Rules,Chapter 4725) assistance for enforcing well construction codes, <br /> maintaining setback distances for certain <br /> contamination sources,and well sealing. <br /> MDH has staff that will help the city identify <br /> MDH Wellhead Protection(WHP) technical or financial support that other <br /> governmental agencies can provide to assist with <br /> managing potential contamination sources. <br /> DNR can require that anyone requesting an increase <br /> Water appropriation permitting in existing permitted appropriations,or to pump <br /> DNR (Minnesota Rules,Chapter 6115) groundwater,must address concerns regarding the <br /> impacts to drinking water if these concerns are <br /> included in a WHP plan. <br /> Establishes tank permit requirements,installation <br /> MPCA Tank Compliance&Assistance standards,monitoring,reporting and mitigation of <br /> Program spills and releases from above ground storage tanks <br /> (AST)and underground storage tanks(UST). <br /> Environmental Automatic closure of the Class V automotive waste <br /> Protection 40 Code of the Federal disposal wells in a WHPA,inventory of Class V <br /> Agency(EPA) Regulations 144 Subpart G Wells. <br /> 7.4 Support Provided by Nonprofit Organizations <br /> The Minnesota Rural Water Association can provide a wide variety of technical support ranging from <br /> helping to develop/update wellhead protection(WHP)plans, locate and secure funding for <br /> implementation and provide on-site technical assistance for the implementation of this plan. <br /> The Minnesota League of Cities can provide technical and legal advice for city administration, <br /> developing ordinances and local plans. <br /> 11 <br />
