C. Council Meeting Notes: ➢ The City Council Meeting was held June 4 and an excerpt of the dram Minutes are included: 6.2. CSAH 11 Memo to Crow Wing County Highway Department Justin Burslie, Planning Commission consultant from Community Growth, explained that the Council had directed the Planning Commission to analyze the CSAH 11 corridor and the other gateway entrances to the City. Justin noted that the Planning Commission has met several times to complete the task and has drafted a memorandum to the Crow Wing County Highway Department offering design suggestions for the gateways to the City. Justin reviewed the points listed in the memorandum. COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO SEND THE MEMORANDUM TO THE CROW WING COUNTY HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT. COUNCIL MEMBER PEDERSON SECONDED THE MOTION. Cheri Seils, Planning Commission Chair, noted that the Planning Commission has studied the subject for a period of time and is comfortable with the recommendations offered in the memorandum. 9.1. City Engineer Report -Verbal Tim Houle stated that there will be several issues with the Highway 371 project in which the City may need engineering assistance. He noted that he will wait for direction from the City Council regarding negotiations with the Council on turnbacks and other issues related to the Highway 371 realignment project.
