Some shoreline restoration work was done at the <br /> Coopers' property located at 5553 Wilderness Road. Property owners were unaware a <br /> permit was needed. A berm was removed and some rip-rap was placed on shoreline. <br /> Mr. and Mrs. Cooper were present. Mr. Cooper stated they have a problem every year <br /> with the ice ridge. <br /> Staff discussed water filtration, runoff, erosion, shoreline vegetation/stabilization. <br /> Staff directed to send Mr. Cooper information regarding soils and native plants that grow <br /> well in this area. <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Levenske to leave the west side of the shoreline <br /> "as-is" and dispense a dirt/natural seed mix throughout the rip rap on the shoreline east of <br /> the dock, letting it grow naturally over time and to ensure the natural berm is not <br /> completely removed when it reforms seconded by Commissioner Habein. <br /> Motions passes 4-0, Commissioner Brown absent during vote. <br /> Discussion on lake associations. City Brochures should be sent there.
