Dawn Bittner
From: Jeff Pearson <pearsonJeffrey.p @gmail.com>
-3ent: Monday, October 13, 2014 7:03 PM
To: Dawn Bittner
Subject: Approval support for Application 14-4300
Ms. Bittner,
This email is an expression of approval allowing for the completion of the accessory structure currently under
construction by our neighbor James Byrne. My mother currently resides in our family property at 4869 Olson
Road which is just two doors down from Mr. Byrne's property at 4905 Olson Road. My family has been on East
Twin lake on this property for 41 years. During this time we have been very pleased with the improvements
completed around the lake, in particular we are pleased with the improvements Jim has done to his property. His
home is extremely well done with the highest quality materials and workmanship presenting an outstanding
look. The improvements he has and is completing significantly improve the overall value of his property. As
neighbors we benefit from this as well both aesthetically in the pleasing look and financially by maintaining and
increasing property values.
The accessory structure, which is a garage and shop further improves Jim's property and when finished provides
a quality space for the storage of vehicles and recreational vehicles. This structure is very well placed, we
cannot really see it all from our property, it is not visible from the Lake and it is barely visible from Olson
Road. The materials Jim is using including the log siding is very aesthetically pleasing and will match his home
for a very complementary look. A guest structure on a shoreline property is allowed be a maximum height of
15' and this accessory structure Jim is building should definitely be allowed a variance from the 13' building
eight of the primary structure.
We appreciate this opportunity to express our approval for this variance, along with your consideration to act in
a manner favorable to both Mr. Byrne and his neighbors. Thank you.
Respectfully,
Jeff Pearson
11305 Parkside Trail Maple Grove, MN 55369
763-208-4080
i
