q
Association
2 July, 2014
Fellow East Twin folks
We are entering the two busiest months of the year for lake activity. All of us will
be out on the lake fishing, skiing, tubing, sailing, paddle boarding, jet skiing and on
and on. And as we all can see the level of East Twin Lake is as high or higher than
any of us can remember. That means that waves from boats are more likely to
create shore erosion than in our more normal years.
With the above in mind, I am asking all of us to be a little more attentive as to how
we use the lake. For instance, when running your motor craft at high speeds, try to
do so further away from the shore so as to minimize wave impact. East Twin is a
small lake and we can't stop all wave action, but we can all work together to lower
the impact and still enjoy the thrill of being on the water.
Thanks in advance for being thoughtful users of this great resource. I hope to see
you all at our Annual Lake Picnic on Saturday, August 2 at our place.
All the best,
Tom Adams, President
East Twin Lake Association
