The subject property is located on the north side of East Twin lake and is
zoned"Shoreline Residential."
It has been determined the height of the structure exceeds the maximum height allowed
for accessory structures in the"Shoreline Residential'zone.
Commissioner Hallan volunteered to conduct a site visit to verify the building height. He
has also provided a drawing of his findings(attached).
Mr. Byrne has been invited to the meeting to discuss options to remedy the situation. At
a prior meeting two options were discussed:
1. Obtain an after-the-fact variance to exceed the maximum building height of an
accessory structure in the Shoreline Residential Zone.
2. Alter the structure so the maximum height(as defined by ordinance) is 13 feet.
Section 17-3.2. DEFINITIONS
45. Building Height.
