The most important aspect of a multi-modal transportation system is connectivity. A fully functional <br /> system should have no"gaps"in the system. There are not any significant"gaps"in the current <br /> �-- sidewalk layout in the City. However, most of the sidewalks terminate at the edge of residential areas- <br /> limiting connectivity to those places. <br /> Here's Example of a sidewalk ending abruptly at the intersection of Brown Street and South Oak <br /> Street: <br /> s# <br /> Multi-modal Connection to Sibley Lake Park <br /> Last month,we discussed the possibility of constructing a bike path between the Paul Bunyan Trail <br /> and Sibley Lake Park. It was determined this would be an excellent opportunity to showcase one of <br /> the City's premier parks to outside visitors. The initial investment by the City would be minimal. It <br /> would include paint and signage.
