Pequot Lakes Staff Report 7 (b) - 1 <br />November 12, 2015 <br /> <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS – VIRGIL DAHL <br /> <br /> <br />Agenda Item: 7 (b) <br /> <br />Background Information: At the Planning Commission’s request the Police <br />Chief and I visited Mr. Dahl’s property October 13 with his permission. We found <br />no new accumulations of exterior storage. A family member had left personal <br />property without permission; this personal property had been removed prior to <br />our visit. <br /> <br />Mr. Dahl was reminded not to collect any new items and that only wood can be <br />burned in the fire pit. There were a couple of items Mr. Dahl stated would be <br />removed. <br /> <br />Condition of the property was documented with photographs. <br /> <br />***** <br /> <br />Mr. Dahl stopped by City Hall October 26 to inform us he plans to sell his <br />property. When asked he stated he had not listed the property with a realtor. <br /> <br />***** <br /> <br />Mr. Dahl applied for a Land Use Permit November 4 to place 2 storage units on <br />his property at the end of the “sleeper”. His plan was to store his personal <br />property currently located within the “sleeper” in the new storage units and to <br />connect the “sleeper” to the existing SSTS and well. <br /> <br />Staff accepted his application as he was agitated due to receiving notice that the <br />City will certify the costs of his nuisance abatement to his real estate taxes. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
